Oliver's the whole package of tall, dark and mysterious. On one hand, he's incredibly charming, confident, humorous and clever. On the other, his confidence can topple over into arrogance territory, he has a very unattractive tendency to be abrasive and an even more unattractive knack for secrecy. At the core of him, Oliver is actually a self-loathing, closeted bisexual who grew up with a homophobic father, but proceeded to meet and consequently leave the love of his life a summer long ago, when he was twenty-four and the other boy seventeen.

canon: Call Me By Your Name (book)
summary: Here
canon point: Defaulting to playing him before they meet each other again fifteen years later, but can play him from any point in the book as well as from Find Me upon request.
notes: Since Oliver isn’t mentioned by surname in either of the books, I’ll be using Abrams when necessary. Player is rusty on film canon, but can wing it if needed. Willing to modern AU and canon mash to accommodate easy tagging.
PLAYER
contact: PM to this journal;
active times/pace: CEST/CET player. Tries to be online at least during the evening my time, but it varies. More one tag a day player than anything, but if you hit me up at the right time, I can still boomerang a bit.
brackets/prose: Definitely brackets preference, but can match. I default to present tense, but can also match other tenses.
offensive subjects/triggers: Not any.
IN CHARACTER
physical affection: Go for it. Reactions may vary depending on CR.
physical violence: Sure, give me a heads up if you're aiming to do severe damage.
relationships: Although Oliver is bisexual, I'm more interested in exploring his M/M relationships than his M/F ones. Outside memes that are specifically designed for it, I prefer not to assume any romantic CR unless relevant canon mates. Elios are always welcome, taken from any canon point.
psychic info: No shields or psychic defenses.
magical info: No magical powers.
medical info: Nothing relevant.
offensive subjects/triggers: Oliver comes from books where the main romance (same-sex) is between a 17 year old teenager and a 24 year old doctoral student. If this kind of age gap doesn't sit well with you, please let me know and I'll avoid tagging you.
OUT OF CHARACTER
backtagging: Yes, please!
threadhopping: No.
fourthwalling: Go ahead.
not interested in: Smut.
I'll be the first to admit that Call Me By Your Name works with some problematic themes (an age gap relationship with grooming aspects, manipulative and ambivalent behaviour, lies + secrecy etc.), so if - for some reason
Thank you!

WANTED
Not secret: I don't actually like Oliver. I think he's awful. I think what he does to Elio is awful and I think his way of handling all life choices that come after is awful.
Secret: I want him to be redeemed. I want him to meet someone new (m/m pref, but I'm open to m/f) who can and is willing to help open his eyes to how he Fucked Up that summer in Italy. I want to play out storylines where he doesn't end up with Elio (though, I'm always here for writing Oliver/Elio trainwrecks, too) and where he might even come to embrace the bisexual side of himself. So, if you can give me any of that, never be afraid to poke this journal. It exists for that sole purpose.
